Kathmandu, 18 May : In neighboring country India, more than 4,340 people have died in the past 24 hours on the same day. Not so many infected people died in a single day before in India. Earlier, around 4,000 people were dying of the infection daily. Despite some success in coronavirus control in India, the number of infected people dying daily is on the rise. The number of daily confirmed infections in India is declining.

In the last 24 hours, 263,045 new patients were added. This number is much higher than the number of infected people added on the same day in other countries of the world. The number of infected people in India has reached 252,27,970.

21,590,003 people have recovered after treatment. 33.59 million and 216 people are undergoing treatment. The condition of 8,944 of the infected is critical. India is the second most affected country in the world due to corona virus.
