Kathmandu, Nov.4: The Ministry of Health and Population on Wednesday confirmed 1,878 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley.

In 13,144 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,878 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the press briefing today.

Of the 1,878 new cases, 1,570 were detected in Kathmandu, 119 were found in Bhaktapur and  189 were recorded in Lalitpur.

Moreover, some 3,309 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across the nation on Wednesday, taking the national tally to 182,923 including 144,978 cases of recoveries and 1,034 death cases.
