16 arrested for gambling

Damauli, Nov 1

Sixteen people have been arrested on the charge of gambling. They were arrested red handed by police from the Chokmaidan in ward no. 10 of Bhanu municipality.

The police also recovered Rs. 48,270 in cash from the gamblers. The arrest was made acting on a tip-off received to the police, said DSP at the District Police Office, Tanahu Yubaraj Timalsena.

Those arrested are locals Arjun Upreti, Ram Bahadur Pariyar, Sunil Tamang, Ramesh Laudary, among others.
