Kathmandu, October 23:
A no-confidence motion against Karnali Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has been rejected. The parliamentary party meeting has decided to reject the anti-royal proposal, today.
A total of 18 lawmakers on October had registered no confidence motion against Shahi. Of 18 lawmakers, seven withdrew their consent pushing the motion failure today.
The Lawmakers, who had filed a no-confidence motion, were not absent from the meeting. They were for the Oli’s decision.
After the no-confidence motion had failed, Chief Minister Shahi said that he was ready to rectify the shortcomings. Shahi has said it should be for development of Karnali district considering the diversity in the Karnali. He further adds that he is ready to work hand in hand with everyone for effective result.
18 lawmakers had filed a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Shahi in the party’s parliamentary party on Ashoj 15.
Only 11 people were present at the meeting of the parliamentary party. It was convened by the then Chief Whip Gulab Jung Shah.
