Kathmand Feb 27 : CPN-UML leader and lawmaker Bhim Rawal has said that presenting the US aid project in the parliament was an insult to the nation and a betrayal of the people.

He was speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives on Sunday to discuss the US aid project MCC.

“It is a betrayal of the country, a betrayal of the people and an insult to the nation of Nepal to raise such issues related to national independence in the midst of such uproar.” Such an insulting government will go down in history as a traitor, ”he said.

Leader Rawal remarked that those who support MCC will go down in history as traitors. Stating that the MCC was against the national interest and independence, Rawal said that it was a betrayal to correct the anti-national provision through explanatory remarks.

“To talk of correcting the treasonous provision through resolution and explanatory remarks is to deceive the people. Such a thing is like a futile resolution during the Mahakali Treaty, ”he said.
