Baglung, Feb 6 :
Secretary of the main opposition CPN (UML) Padma Aryal today said that the incumbent government could not shy away from elections as she said it would be against democracy to avoid periodic elections.
She demanded the announcement of local level elections at the earliest. “Elections should be conducted in the time stipulated by the constitution. Local level cannot remain without people’s representatives. Any other structures cannot replace rights of local level according to the constitution,” said the former minister at a press conference organised here by the Press Chautari Nepal, Baglung.
Dillydallying in the implementation of the constitution would be a misfortune for the country, she warned.
