Kathmandu Feb 9 : Eight different left parties have protested against the US aid project Millennium Challenge Compact (MCC). Stating that the agreement is treasonous, they have warned against approving it in the parliament.

Participants in the demonstrations by Communist Party of Nepal, CPN-Revolutionary Maoist, CPN, Scientific Socialist Communist Party of Nepal, CPN-Maoist Central Socialist, Patriotic People’s Democratic Front and Rastriya Janamorcha carried various placards and banners saying that MCC agreement should not be ratified.

A corner meeting has been organized from Maitighar in Kathmandu to New Baneshwor after the demonstration. Leaders of the political parties organizing the protest have addressed the corner meeting.
