Kathmandu Feb 1 : In the last 24 hours, 5 thousand 583 corona infections have been added in Nepal.

The Ministry of Health and Population said on Tuesday that 17,674 tests were carried out in 24 hours using antigen and PCR methods, adding 5,583 infected people. The ministry has clarified that it also includes the details received from SMS and email.

In 10,776 PCR tests, infection has confirmed in 3,657 and in 6,898, antigen test showed positive in 1,926.

The number of people recovering in 24 hours is 8,267, according to the ministry.

9 people have died in 24 hours. The number of infected people across the country is 74,653.
