Kathmandu : Newly elected Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the order was broken by electing the Central Committee from the Eighth General Convention in a democratic manner.

He described it as the last chance and the challenge for him.

Addressing a meeting of the Central Committee in Lalitpur on Monday after being elected unopposed as the chairman of the CPN-MC, Prachanda said that he had to take the responsibility of the chairman for the overall situation of the country and the transformation of the party.

“Since the Eighth General Convention, we have again broken the order, with the historic resolve to form a revolutionary party and solve the problems of the country. I think I have a huge responsibility on my shoulders, ‘said Prachanda. My last chance for leadership will be to serve the Nepali nation and the Nepali people. For me, age is the last chance and the last challenge. ‘

Prachanda said that he was compelled to suffer for some time when he saw the need to strengthen the party.

“I felt that it was time to move on to a different role. Given the overall political situation in the country and the need for party transformation, the need to strengthen the party is bound to hurt for a while,” he said.
Prachanda said that the Maoist movement would not die without him. ‘The question of what would happen to the Maoist party if not Prachanda is wrong, the Maoists are revolutionary ideas and movements. According to Karl Marx, no matter when a story is weakened by history, it will always be alive. It comes with power again, ‘said Prachanda.

Prachanda’s name was proposed by Narayan Kaji Shrestha in the Central Committee Hall while Krishna Bahadur Mahara expressed his support. Saying that there was no other candidate, senior leader Dinanath Sharma, who presided over the meeting as a senior most member of central committee, declared that Prachanda was elected unanimously.
