Kathmandu, Jan 7: Infection of Omicron variant corona virus has been confirmed in 24 more people in Nepal. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the Omicron variant has been confirmed in all the 24 samples that were genetically sequenced last time.
During the screening of 1146 positive samples of corona virus collected in the month of January, 250 of them were found to be S-negative.

Spokesperson Dr Sangeeta Mishra said that 24 of the S-negative were genetically sequenced and Omicron infection was confirmed in all of them.
