Kathmandu Jan 29 : A team comprising Nepal Mazdoor Kisan Party secretary and MP Prem Suwal and Bhaktapur municipality chief Sunil Prajapati met Forest and Environment Minister Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav on Friday and demanded adequate fertilizers for farmers and declaring Muhan Pokhari as a catchment area.
MP Suwal demanded the Forest Minister Yadav to increase the source of drinking water by declaring the area of drinking water source in Nagarkot of Chagunarayan Municipality as a reservoir area, to declare Chonga Ganesh Temple complex in Salaghari of Bhaktapur Municipality as a cultural area and to provide necessary budget for protection of Navdurga Peeth in Bhaktapur.
During the meeting, Minister for Forests Yadav said that necessary assistance would be provided for the protection and promotion of public places in Bhaktapur. Similarly, a team including MP Suwal and Mayor Prajapati met Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Dr Govinda Prasad Sharma and demanded timely supply of adequate chemical fertilizers to the farmers at affordable prices.
Secretary Dr. Sharma said that the ministry would take initiative to provide the required amount of chemical fertilizer to Bhaktapur as it was engaged in the management of the required fertilizer as per the demand of the farmers.
