Kathmandu Jan 31 : In the last 24 hours, an additional 5,292 people have been confirmed infected with the corona virus (Covid-19) and eight have died.

According to the Ministry of Health, corona infection has been confirmed in a total of 5,292 people, including 3,472 people in the PCR test of 10,368 people and 1,820 people in the antigen test of 5,720 people.

At present, 79272 people are actively infected across the country and 8191 people are free from infection.

With the addition on Monday, the total number of corona virus infected in Nepal has reached 1 million 82 thousand 668. Similarly, the number of deaths in Nepal has reached 11,743 and 8 lakh 62 thousand 898 people have become free from infection.

Similarly, corona virus infection has been confirmed in 74 children under 10 years of age and 148 corona virus infections in the age group of 11 to 20 years have been added.

1 772 infected people were added in the valley

Similarly, corona virus infection has been confirmed in another 1,772 people in Kathmandu Valley, according to the Ministry.

According to the ministry, 1,361 people in Kathmandu, 271 in Lalitpur and 90 in Bhaktapur have contracted corona virus.
