Kathmandu Jan 19 : In the last 24 hours, an additional 11,352 people have been confirmed to be infected with the corona virus (Covid-19). This is the highest number of infected so far confirmed in a single day.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 18,078 samples were tested for PCR and 9,502 and 5,331 samples were tested for antigen and 1,850 were infected.

According to the ministry, 6,343 of the newly infected people are from Kathmandu Valley, of which 4,666 are from Kathmandu, 1,019 from Lalitpur and 578 from Bhaktapur.

In the last 24 hours, 613 people have been recovered with corona virus and 4 have died.

Currently, 47,929 people are actively infected across the country.
