Kathmandu Dec 14 : In the meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) parliamentary party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has given a ‘briefing’ on current political issues.

Prachanda also had an opinion about the American project MCC. Prachanda said that without consensus in the alliance, the MCC would not be tabled in the House and approval would not be possible without amendment. The Maoists have reiterated their old stance on MCC.

“This is a continuation of the earlier decision of the Standing Committee on MCC,” he said.

The MCC is expected to be presented at the winter session, as the United States pressures it to ratify the MCC soon.

While the Nepali Congress is in favor of approving the MCC, the main opposition UML is not clear about it.
