Kathmandu : Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Prachanda has said that the Maoist party would have been dissolved if it had been fighting for position, prestige and money. He also urged the leaders and activists to think seriously about it
Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on Wednesday on the occasion of the 22nd Memorial Day of Suresh Wagle (Basu) and Bhimsen Pokhrel, who were killed in an army attack during the People’s War, Prachanda said that there was a danger that the Maoists would reach the place of serving the counter-revolution.
Explaining that he did not want to share his frustration by saying such things, Prachanda said, “What is the justification of this party if it is like the UML today, which has so many martyrs, so many sacrifices, so many sacrifices, so many social transformations, and so much dedication for revolution?” It would be better if such a party was dissolved. ‘
Prachanda said, “If it is to promote position, money, prestige, faction, anarchy and be like UML, then if we are followers of Marx, would it be honest to disband it?” To say that we are carrying out a revolution is to betray the people after the counter-revolution. In order not to be deceived, there is talk of disintegration today. ‘
He said that the only thing the Maoists could do was revolution for change and transformation. He also said that the Maoists could not be transformed by ordinary force.
“It simply came to our notice then. If you can’t do that, then what is the justification for it, comrades, consider the question, ‘said Prachanda,’ but not in a negative way. Our transformation did not happen by ordinary force. In essence, the force is a little too much. ‘
He said that the Maoist cadres were characterized by immediate agitation and ready to fight a new kind of people’s war if there was any regression. “We are spoiled, but the passion for revolution, the change, the sense of responsibility towards the people and the nation has not gone away. “If the party and the leadership call for change, it has the power to rise up and smash the reactionaries again. This is a good sign for a bright future for all of us,” he said.
