Kathmandu : A writ petition filed in the Supreme Court against the special session of Lumbini has been heard by Judge Ananda Mohan Bhattarai.
A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking to stop the special session of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly. The writ petition was filed on Tuesday. The writ was placed at number eight on Wednesday.
A special session of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly is being held at 1 pm on Wednesday to discuss the no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Pokharel.
A meeting of the UML parliamentary party held on Wednesday morning has decided to proceed as per the court’s decision amid discussions that Chief Minister Pokharel, who is in the minority, is preparing to resign before the special session.
