We are waiting for the last chance of party unity : Madhav Nepal

Kathmandu: CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that they are waiting for the party unity. Senior leader Nepal also maintained that the responsibility of reorganizing the party could not be shied away if all the doors of party unity were closed.

Speaking at a function in Kathmandu on Saturday to announce the parallel leadership of the Bagmati province Liaison Committee, he said the party would still strive for unity.

The decision-making process and the leadership system are based on consensus, while senior leaders say they are ready for party unity.

He said, “Unity is our desire. Our will and desire is not division. But if all the doors of unity are closed and there is no possibility, then we should not shy away from the responsibility of reorganizing the party. But that will only be the last resort. Let’s still try. Let’s still try to improve KP Oli. We are waiting for the final decision if KP’s wrong decision is reversed and the decision-making process and leadership system is based on consensus. ‘

Senior leader Nepal also reminded Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba that they would not participate in the government for party unity. He reiterated that in order to protect the constitution and democracy, they had to give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Deuba.
