UML decides to protest against party split ordinance if will issue

Kathmandu : CPN-UML has warned to protest against the ordinance on party split.

A meeting of the party’s standing committee held today has protested against the abrupt end of the parliamentary session and the attempt to bring an ordinance on party split.

After the meeting, UML spokesperson Pradip Kumar Gyawali said that they would protest against the party split ordinance through peaceful, democratic and mass mobilization. “The government itself must be responsible for the consequences,” he warned.

The UML is of the view that the party split ordinance will divide the democratic system and push it towards crisis.

After the meeting, spokesperson Gyawali said, “Preparations have been made to bring an ordinance to split the party by abruptly ending the parliamentary session, to provide legal basis for the split to some chaotic and greedy people of the main opposition party and to introduce extreme distortion and corruption in the democratic system.” It is reprehensible and unacceptable. ‘
