Ruling coalition TF drafted Document on three issues

Kathmandu : The ruling coalition task force meeting has drafted documents on three issues related to governing the government. The task force comprising Congress, CPN (MC) and JSP led by General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka has drafted documents on three issues while trying to reach an agreement in principle on running the government.

According to Ramesh Lekhak, a member of the task force, the three documents that have been drafted have issues of minimum common program, working procedure of the government and code of conduct. Further discussions are underway in the task force and will be finalized soon.

The members of the task force had a three-hour discussion at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Monday morning. It is said that JSP leader Rajendra Shrestha is drafting the agreement.

Lekhak said, “We will not enter into the issue of who will be appointed as a minister and who will be appointed.” It is not in our interest to be a minister or not. That is a matter for the prime minister and top leaders to decide. It is not up to us to decide whose appointment will be revoked. ‘

However, he said the government would be consulted on whether the appointments made by the previous government were legal.

He said the task force was working on how to streamline and strengthen the alliance between the political parties. We are in discussions for mutual harmony, unity and dialogue between the parties by preparing a minimum program. ‘

The draft also includes the implementation of federalism, national independence, and the correction of unconstitutional appointments by the previous government. The task force has also drafted a proposal to amend the constitution.

one of the member of TF, “We have already tabled in the parliament about the amendment of the constitution. The UML could not amend the constitution. We still have a common view on that. We agree that the constitution can be amended. That is the perception. ‘
