Rescue stranded Nepalis in Afghanistan immediately: Maoist Center

Kathmandu: CPN-Maoist Central Committee meetinghas drawn the attention of the government saying that the government should clarify it immediately. Through the current resolution presented at the Maoist meeting in Kathmandu, the Maoists have also drawn attention to the immediate rescue of Nepalis stranded in Afghanistan and the ongoing hunger strike of ex-Gurkha soldiers in London, UK.
The topics of the current proposal presented by Narayan Kaji Shrestha at the central committee meeting on Sunday are as follows:

  1. It has been two weeks since a Nepali youth died after cutting a tuin in the Mahakali River. To demand from the government to negotiate with India and facilitate compensation.
  2. Expressing solidarity with the death strike by Gurkha soldiers in the UK. Urge the UK government to initiate immediate talks.
  1. With the threat of a third wave of pandemic of corona virus looming, the government must be prepared to prevent it, vaccinate the people, and demand a revival of the economy as a whole.
  2. To call upon the entire party ranks to fight against the epidemic and contribute for the country by adopting health standards.
  3. To draw the attention of the government to the relief, rescue and reconstruction of the flood and landslide victims.
  4. To demand the government to provide information about the situation of Nepalis in Afghanistan.
