Report submitted by ruling TF to the Prime Minister and top leaders

Kathmandu : The task force formed by the ruling coalition has prepared a report on the government’s minimum common program and submitted it to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and coalition partners Chiefs.

The report prepared by the task force was handed over to Prime Minister Deuba, CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav and Rastriya Janamorcha Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC in Baluwatar on Friday morning.

“The task force has submitted the report to the top leaders of the alliance, including the prime minister,” task force member secretary Keshav Prasad Joshi informed.

The name of the report is the Common Minimum Program of the United Government. This report is 18 pages long. The report sets out the priorities of the coalition government.

“The government’s top priority is to prevent and control corona virus epidemic,” he said. We have also included in the report what should be done about Corona virus and its liberation and solution. ‘

Joshi said that the issue of how to make the alliance sustainable is also included in the report. The report covers issues of national interest, implementation of federalism, guarantee of national security, economic policies and programs.

The task force has also formulated a code of conduct for ministers in the government led by Prime Minister Deuba. The code of conduct has 14 points. A 10-point procedure has also been formulated to run the government.

The report also mentions the formation of political dialogue committees at the center, provinces and districts.

The report also includes the formation of a high-level coordination committee to run the government. Arrangement has been made to select the chairperson of the coordination committee on the basis of mutual understanding.

A task force comprising Minendra Rijal and Ramesh Lekhak from the Nepali Congress, Dev Prasad Gurung and Barshaman Pun from the CPN (Maoist) and Mahendra Ray Yadav and Rajendra Shrestha from the JSP was formed under the coordination of General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka.

The main points of the government’s common minimum program are the priorities of the coalition government, government policies and programs, promotion of national interest, implementation of federalism and strengthening of federal democracy, peace and security guarantee, good governance and integrity, completion of peace process.
