Madhav faction conclusion betrayed by TF members, about to new party

Kathmandu : The Madhav Nepal group, which is forming a new party, has come to the conclusion that it has been betrayed by the task force formed to resolve the party dispute. A task force consisting of 5 members each from Oli and Nepal was formed to resolve the party’s dispute.

Leaders of the Nepal side are of the view that the role of the task force members on Madhav Nepal’s side has not been effective. ‘The members of the task force, in particular, did not effectively represent Madhav Nepal and our views. They were distracted by Oli’s assurance, ‘said Madhav Nepal closed a member.

The analysis of the Nepal side is that the members of the task force have not been able to play an effective role in resolving the party’s disputes regarding the political and psychological security and respect of the leaders and cadres.

Leaders of the Nepal side have estimated that other leaders besides Ghanshyam Bhusal may not be in the new party while forming.

After the cabinet meeting recommended an ordinance to split the party, the UML will formally split.In UML, the long-running dispute between party chairman KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal is about to reach the party feet.

UML leader Nepal on Tuesday addressed the leaders and cadres of the people’s organizations close to him through virtual media and said that the party had reached the stage of reorganization.

“We have reached the stage of reorganizing the party. The flag of the movement will be raised again. We will move forward as a beloved force of the Nepali people, ”Nepal said. However, Nepal said that there was no possibility of unity with other parties at present but there would be cooperation.

The Madhav Nepal group has made final preparations to make another party. Therefore, the government has decided to bring an ordinance to amend the Act on Political Parties and has recommended it to the President’s Office for verification. In which, if there is 20 percent members in the parliamentary party or the central committee, a new party can be registered.

Talks and discussions were going on for a long time to settle the internal disputes of the UML. The Madhav Nepal faction had called a meeting of its central committee on sharban 21-22and demanded that the Oli faction make efforts to resolve the party dispute in a dignified manner.

“It is not necessary to spend a lot of time in the party. It is not necessary to keep discussing without conclusion. “Let them do what they want,” said a leader close to Nepal, quoting Oli.

The central member close to Nepal said that the Nepal group was formally preparing for the split of the party as Oli had not shown much interest in resolving the party dispute recently.

The Madhav Nepal group has held various meetings and discussions after the cabinet meeting decided to bring an ordinance related to political parties.

Leader Nepal had a discussion with the members of his party’s task force at Singha Durbar in the afternoon. After that, he had a discussion with the lawmakers of his party at Aryal Hotel in New Baneshwor about the political developments.

While the leader was holding discussions with Nepal’s parliamentarians, Ghanshyam Bhusal, who was also a member of the task force, had reached Aryal Hotel in Baneshwor to meet Nepal.

After some consultations with the leader Nepal, Bhusal went to his residence in Balkot to hold talks with party chairman KP Oli.

“It simply came to our notice then. Ghanshyam Bhusal told Madhav Nepal that he would talk to KP Oli once. He has gone for discussion after consulting Madhav Nepal, ‘said Gangalal Tuladhar, a leader close to Nepal.

After the discussion of the lawmakers, the leader went to meet Bhim Rawal. He then returned to the Aryal Hotel and attended another meeting with central members and MPs available in Kathmandu.

After leaving the meeting, Nepal addressed the leaders and cadres of the sisters’s organizations close to it through virtual media.

However, the Oli faction had decided to hold a meeting of the central committee on Sharwan 25 and approve the party’s legislative amendment proposal and send it to the lower level committee for discussion.

The UML dispute, which was said to have reached a compromise, was then escalated. Even after the Central Committee approved the legislative amendment proposal, UML Deputy General Secretary and Chairman Oli’s confidant Bishnu Poudel had reached his residence in Koteshwor to meet Madhav Nepal. Despite lengthy discussions between Nepal and Poudel, no settlement was reached.

At that time, the members of the task force had discussed various options for resolving the party dispute with both Oli and Nepal side.
