Kathmandu : CPN-UML senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal has undergone a kidney transplant in Delhi.
Some time ago, he was undergoing treatment at the Apollo Hospital in Delhi under the guidance of Dr. Akhil Mishra, a nephrologist.

On Wednesday, a team led by surgeon Dr. Sandeep Guleria successfully completed his kidney transplant, according to his secretariat.
“Now he will rest in the hospital for a while and after resting he will return to Nepal,” said his personal secretary Krishna Bhattarai.
He was taken to Delhi on July 20 due to health problems. Khanal, who was admitted to the Neurological Hospital in Kathmandu, was taken to Delhi for further treatment after he was diagnosed with fever and hemoglobin deficiency.
