CPN (MC) CC Meeting Agenda: National conference In December and to strengthen alliance till election

Kathmandu : The Central Committee meeting of the ruling partner CPN-Maoist Center has started in Kathmandu.

Spokesperson of the CPN-MC Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed that Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has an agenda to present an eight-page long political and organizational report in the meeting that started on Saturday.

From this meeting, the Maoists are preparing to change their name to the Communist Party of Nepali (CPN) or something similar instead CPN(Maoist Center). Pranchada has proposed that party national conference will be held in December 26-28.

At a standing committee meeting on Friday, leader Shrestha informed Prachanda emphasized that the Left-Democratic Alliance should strengthen its cooperation and take initiative to form a front of all communist and progressive forces.

Prachanda’s political report concludes that the biggest threat to the republic and the constitution from UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli. In his report, Prachanda described the Nepali Congress as a close friend.

As unity with UML’s Madhav Kumar Nepal and other forces was not possible immediately, the CPN (MC) is preparing to strengthen the organization in the current situation.
