BJP Foreign Chief Vijay Chauthaiwale meets Prachanda, open disscussion

Kathmandu : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) External Affairs Chief Dr. Vijay Chauthaiwale has called on CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. Chauthaiwale reached the residence of Chairman Prachanda in Khumaltar on Monday afternoon and met him.

Chauthaiwale wrote in a tweet that they had open discussions with Prachanda on expanding relations with Nepal and India as well as other issues.Regarding the meeting with Chauthawaiwale, Prachanda said that there was open talk about the two countries’ relations and problems. Chauthaiwale is of the view that the development of relations at the party level would further contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations. Chauthaiwale is a leader who attaches special importance to Nepal relations on behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He also represents Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign affairs in addition to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

Arriving in Kathmandu on Sunday, he met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba at his official residence in Baluwatar on the same day. On Sunday, he also discussed bilateral relations with Congress leader and former foreign minister Prakash Sharan Mahat.


Earlier in the day, he also met Leader of the Main Opposition KP Sharma Oli and Madhesi leader Mahanta Thakur. Chauthaiwale is scheduled to hold talks with JSP chairman Upendra Yadav and UML rebel leader Madhav Kumar Nepal. The fourth day he will return home on Wednesday.
