57 leaders of UML third faction appeal to party unity again

Kathmandu : The third-line faction of CPN-UML meeting has concluded that party unity is very important in the current national and international political situation. A meeting held in Kathmandu on Friday reached that conclusion. In a joint statement issued after the meeting, it was said that the UML was facing a crisis of division and the challenge was to save the party from being pushed in the direction of further division and destruction.

The statement said: “Now we have the challenge of preventing the CPN (UML) from moving in the direction of division and destruction. The positive role of all honest leaders, cadres and members of the party is indispensable in this. ‘

Stating that it would be wise to resolve the differences and contradictions through the party’s internal process in the face of domestic and foreign reactionaries trying to weaken the communist movement in Nepal, the joint statement said: ‘We have to move forward in the direction of extraction. ‘

It is stated that 57 members including UML central committee members and parliamentarians participated in the meeting. The joint statement was signed by nine leaders of the UML’s Standing committee of opportunist third wing.
