Kathmandu : A meeting of the executive committee of Janata Samajwadi Party(JSP) Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav has ruled that the writ filed by another chairman Mahanta Thakur faction’s in the Supreme Court was wrong. A meeting held on Saturday concluded that a writ petition should not be filed to affect the party’s dispute while it is under consideration in the Election Commission.

Giving information about the discussions held at the meeting, Ram Sahay Yadav, executive member of the party, said, “The Election Commission is a constitutional body. Once the bench is constituted, it is treated like a court. Our conclusion is not to file a writ while it is in the process of resolving disputes.”

He said that they have also consulted with legal practitioners in this regard. He said, “They also advised that the Election Commission has not taken any decision now, only an order has been issued. If no decision is reached, a writ petition cannot be filed against it.”

The meeting also discussed about the party’s constitution passed by the parliamentary party meeting. The legislation has been given to the executive members for study. Legislation will be discussed and passed in the next meeting. After passing from there, it will be sent back to the parliamentary party and the leader of the parliamentary party will be selected.
