UML task force meeting ended without any concrete discussion

Kathmandu : The meeting of the task force formed to resolve the CPN-UML dispute has ended without entering the agenda.

As the members of the task force, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Vishnu Poudel, were not present, the leaders got up saying that they would stay tomorrow. Paudel is sitting with Prime minister K P sharma oli at baluwatar.

Leaving the meeting, the leaders of the oli side and Madhav Nepal faction gave a confused response. Subash Nemwang of the Oli faction expressed hope that the meeting to be held at 11:30 am tomorrow would bring unity to an end.

Madhav faction leader Ghanshyam Bhusal, on the other hand, expressed frustration over the lack of progress in the last 10 days.

Bhusal said, “We have been where we are for 10 days. We are trying to reach a conclusion. We will try to settle it in the meeting to be held tomorrow morning.”

Nemwang said, “It is a great thing to bring the dispute of three years ago to this stage in 9/10 days. We are hopeful that it will be resolved tomorrow.”

When asked by reporters about Bhusal’s response that he has been the same for 10 days, Nemwang said that was also correct.

One of the leaders who participated in the talks said, “The task team is working, but the problem is not with the task force but outside.” The negotiating team has agreed to run the party in a lawful manner and move it forward from Jestha 2, 2075 BS. However, Comrade Madhav Nepal demanded his share in running the party equal to Oli, which the negotiating team could not do.
