Kathmandu : Nepali shooter Kalpana Pariyar has set a national record by participating in the ongoing Olympics in Japan.
In the women’s 10m air rifle event at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 on Saturday morning, Kalpana set a national record by scoring 616.8 in the qualifying round.
Earlier, Kalpana had set a national record of 614.5 in the 13th South Asian Games. Kalpana scored 616.8 but was not selected in the final round.
Only the top eight players from the selection will play in the final. She finished 46th out of 50 players.
Dusted of Norway topped the competition with 632.9 points. The Korean player came in second and the American player came in third.
