Kathmandu : Nepali Congress MP Umesh Shrestha has been appointed Minister of State for Health by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba
On the recommendation of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, President Bidyadevi Bhandari has appointed Shrestha as the Minister of State for Health in accordance with Article 76 (9) of the Constitution, said Keshav Prasad Ghimire, Assistant Spokesperson to the President’s Office.
Shrestha is the school entrepreneur and he runs educational institutions including Little Angels School. He had become a proportional quota MP. He is one of the richest people in the Congress.
There is dissatisfaction within the Nepali Congress over Deuba’s appointment of Shrestha as Minister of State.
