Petition for party revocation of registration ‘Greedy and opportunistic elements’: Maoist Center

Kathmandu: The CPN-Maoist Center has expressed outrage over the party registration petition filed with the Election Commission.

Leaders who had left the CPN (Maoist center) and joined the CPN (UML) had filed a petition with the commission through advocate Saroj Budathoki on Wednesday.

Central Office Secretary Shri Ram Dhakal said in a statement on Friday that the petition was filed to discredit the party by opportunistic and immoral elements.

“Some opportunistic, selfish, greedy, immoral elements seem to have tried to discredit the party by spreading such propaganda,” the statement said. We urge the well-wishers not to fall into delusion. ‘

The CPN (MC) has said that it was ridiculous to make such a move as the petitioner was a person who had nothing to do with the party and was not aware of the general legal process for de-registration.
The statement further said, “Our party rejects such propaganda.” We also urge you not to do so in the future as approving such unauthorized and unwarranted petitions with the Commission will create unnecessary confusion.

The CPN (MC) has urged the commission not to do so in future as such petitions would create unnecessary confusion.
Ram Bahadur Thapa, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Lekhraj Bhatt and Prabhu Shah, who joined the CPN(UML) after a court order declaring the party’s general convention organizing committee illegal, were left stranded. He even went to the Election Commission to say which party the belonged to.
They was further outraged when their parliamentary seat was revoked due to the left of the party.
