Kathmandu : Medium and long distance vehicles will be operational from today. The government has reopened the long-closed inter-district transport from today.
Earlier, only vehicles coming from the local administration internally and for special work were allowed to enter the Kathmandu Valley.
But with the government’s latest decision, all vehicles will now be able to operate in compliance with health safety standards.
The District Administration Office, Kathmandu has requested the transport businessmen to make arrangements for the operation of transport as per the decision of the Government of Nepal (Council of Ministers) on July 19.

The Kathmandu administration issued a press release on Friday requesting to operate means of transportation to facilitate the arrival of passengers from different parts of the country and the movement of the public as the examination programs have been made public by the Tribhuvan University and Public Service Commission.

The administration office has also requested to travel only after buying a ticket. The statement called for full implementation of the criteria issued by the Government of Nepal.
