Kathmandu : The CPN-Maois Center has proposed the formation of a high-level political mechanism comprising top leaders of the parties in the central alliance.

At a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Maoist Center held at the party office on Tuesday, the leaders stressed on the formation of a mechanism.

The leaders have also stressed on the need to form a separate mechanism in the party to lead the ministers in the government.

“Everyone insists on forming a coalition and a mechanism within the party to run the government,” said a member of the Maoist center’s standing committee.

The Maoists insist on formulating minimum government policies and programs and bringing about a common commitment if that is not possible immediately.
