Kathmandu : CPN-Maoist Central Standing Committee meeting is being held. Standing committee member Barshaman Pun informed that the meeting will be held at the party office Parisdanda at 2 pm on Wednesday.
According to him, the meeting will focus on making the government effective, expanding the cabinet and organizing the party. The party is discussing about the policy of forming a coalition government with the common program.
Similarly, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has started preparations for the expansion of the Council of Ministers. After receiving a vote of confidence from the House of Representatives on Sunday, Prime Minister Deuba seems to have started preparations for the expansion of the cabinet.
After the Supreme Court restored the House of Representatives on July 12 and ordered Deuba to be made the Prime Minister, the Congress and the CPN (M) have become two ministers each.
Prime Minister Deuba plans to expand the cabinet immediately by adding 20 new ministers to the 25-member cabinet.
