KP Oli missing in House of Representatives meeting ? : Prachanda

Kathmandu: CPN-Maoist Central Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has sought out incumbent Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in the House of Representatives meeting.

Oli, who is also the leader of the main opposition party, was absent from the meeting in which Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba proposed a vote of confidence.

UML MP Pradip Gyawali spoke on behalf of the party.

“When I came here, I asked our chief whip three times – is the outgoing prime minister coming? Do he speak ? He said he was coming, ‘said Prachanda,’ but I don’t know what KP Oli did because he was ill! In the first meeting, the House and the country wanted to hear from the KPJi. Prachanda quipped that the country wanted to hear what the outgoing Prime Minister Oliji had to say.

Pointing to the UML, which prefers to sing the song of democracy, Prachanda questioned whether it was a democratic rite or undemocratic?

Outgoing Prime Minister Oli is inside the parliament building but is absent from the meeting. Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda said that the statement of CPN-UML Secretary Pradip Gyawali was baseless.

During a discussion in the House of Representatives on Sunday on the proposal of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to take a vote of confidence, Gyawali had accused Maoist leader after losing the war they were accepting democracy.
