JSP parliamentary party leader election will be held on Saturday

Kathmandu : The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) is set to elect the leader of the parliamentary party on Saturday. Claimants for the post of parliamentary party leader have not been decided yet. A meeting of the JSP Central Executive Committee held on Thursday decided to hold elections on Saturday to elect the leader of the parliamentary party. One of the leaders informed that it has been decided to elect a leader by consensus or go to the polls.

The three-day meeting of the Central Executive Committee has also divided the work of some leaders. Accordingly, Nawaraj Subedi has been appointed as the coordinator of the committee to investigate the complaints received within the party.

Similarly, Narasimha Chaudhary has been appointed as the coordinator of the disciplinary committee. Earlier, Laxman Lal Karna was on the disciplinary committee. Karna is on the side of Mahanta Thakur. In the House of Representatives, 2 out of 34 MPs of JSP are suspended. Out of the remaining 32, 10 are in favor of Mahanta Thakur. The leader of the parliamentary party has to be selected from the remaining 22.

The meeting has already passed the constitution of the parliamentary party. According to sources, the leader of the parliamentary party is likely to be selected from among the top leaders of the party. According to a source, party chairman Upendra Yadav is likely to join the Deuba government if he gets a deputy prime minister.

However, Thursday’s meeting did not resolve the issue despite holding general discussions on the names of the ministers.
