Kathmandu : The newly appointed provincial chiefs have taken oath of office and secrecy.

On Wednesday, President Vidyadevi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed Lumbini province chief Amik Sherchan and Gandaki chief Prithviman Gurung at the President’s Office.

Bhandari had appointed Gurung and Sherchan, who were recommended by the cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

Gurung belongs to Nepali Congress Party and Sherchan belongs to CPN Maoist Center have been appointed the post.

Earlier, Sita Kumari Poudel was in Gandaki and Dharmanath Yadav was in Lumbini. The Deuba government has made a new appointment by throwing away both.
