Kathmandu, July 8: The Election Commission has formed a bench to resolve the dispute of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP).
A meeting of the commission officials held on Wednesday has constituted a five-member bench headed by Chief Commissioner Dinesh Thapaliya. Also, it has been decided to call both the parties for the hearing on Sunday, July 15.
Upendra Yadav’s faction had filed a petition in the commission demanding to resolve the party’s authority dispute as per Article 44 of the Political Parties Act 2073 BS. A commissioner has informed that the hearing process has started after the attempt to reach a consensus by calling both the parties failed as per the law.
