Congress General Convention will be held ‘Digital Voting’

Kathmandu : The Nepali Congress is preparing to hold the party’s 14th general convention digitally.
The Department of Information, Communication and Publicity, headed by Bishwaprakash Sharma, has put forward an alternative leadership to hold the convention through digital voting technology.

If the epidemic of corona virus does not improve, it will not be possible for the Congress to convene a general assembly. Elections are planned to be held through electronic voting in the 14th General Convention to be held from September 4 to 5. Technology can be used, ‘Sharma said.


Sharma said that the technology has been developed to complete all the election related processes.
According to the Election Preparatory Committee, a sample exhibition of digital voting is also being prepared. In this regard, a network of skilled engineers has been prepared for technology training and facilitation up to the district level. The Congress has more than 900,000 active members.
