Congratulations of Nepali leaders on the occasion of the centenary of the Chinese Communist Party

Kathmandu : The Chinese Communist Party has completed a glorious 100 years. Founded on July 1, 1921, the Chinese Communist Party has consistently served the Chinese people. On this occasion, China is celebrating the centenary of the establishment of the party by organizing a special ceremony. On the occasion, the Nepalese leaders also sent congratulatory messages to Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Top leader’s message to President Xi

On the occasion of the centenary of the CPC, Nepal’s top leaders have sent best wishes to Chinese President Xi Jinping. In a message sent by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, he said the Chinese Communist Party had succeeded in transforming the country by using unity, energy and creativity. Oli noted that the CPC has been transforming itself from Marxism-Leninism, Maoism, Deng doctrine to “Xi Jinping’s ideology, including socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new age.”

He also said that Nepal, as a close neighbor, wants to move forward in the flow of China’s economic development. Oli also said that UML is a good friend of China. Former prime minister and UML leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal have also sent messages to President Xi, praising China’s latest efforts, including the BRI.

In a message to President Xi, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota said that the transformation of China in the economic and technical fields under the leadership of the CPC would be exemplary for future generations.

Discussing the traditional relationship between the CPC and the Congress, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba said in the message that the Congress is committed to the one-China policy. He has committed not to allow anti-China activities in Nepal. Congress General Secretary Shashank Koirala, Leader Dr. Narayan Khadka and leader Sujata Koirala have also sent messages. Congress leaders have hailed the impressive economic progress and social change under the CPC leadership as exemplary. Everyone has praised China’s progress in economic prosperity, poverty alleviation, exploration and development of science and technology.

Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has mentioned that the Chinese Communist Party has followed the conflict-era policies such as people’s war, new democratic revolution and siege of cities from villages. In his congratulatory message to President Xi Jinping, Prachanda also praised the Chinese policy of peaceful resolution of the conflict, non-interference in the internal affairs of others, global equality and justice.

Nepal Majdur Kisan Party president Narayan Man Bijukche, RPP presidents Pashupati Shamsher Rana and Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani and CPN-ML General Secretary CP Mainali and others have also sent congratulatory messages to President Xi.

CPC’s relation to Nepal

The Chinese Communist Party has been having relations not only with the Communist Party of Nepal, but also with the Nepali Congress and the monarchy. From the then General Secretary of the Communist Party Keshar Jung Rayamajhi to Manmohan Adhikari, not only Madhav Kumar Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, KP Sharma Oli, the Chinese Communist Party is also in touch with Mohan Vaidya, Narayan Man Bijukche and CP Mainali. The Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese government have been maintaining relations with all parties and factions in Nepal.

Even before the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China, the then leader of the Communist Party of Nepal, Gauri Bhakta Pradhan, had gone to Beijing in 1953 for Chinese guerrilla training. Pradhan has passed away. CPN founding leaders Pushpalal, Nara Bahadur Karmacharya, then General Secretary Manmohan Adhikari, ML General Secretary CP Mainali, UML leaders Jivraj Asrit, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Ishwar Pokhrel, Amrit Kumar Bohara visited China during the Panchayat period and held discussions with CPC leaders. The then General Secretary of UML Madan Kumar Bhandari, the then General Secretary of ML Jhala Nath Khanal, CPN (Maoist) Chairman Prachanda and others have also gone to China for political discussions at the invitation of CPC. Nepal’s Communists and Congress are at least 25 years younger than the Chinese Communist Party.
