Kathmandu: The ruling coalition has decided to complete the cabinet without the participation of UML senior leader Madhav Nepal. During the meeting of the leaders of the ruling coalition held on Thursday, it was agreed to complete the cabinet without Madhav Nepal’s side.
The Congress and the CPN (M) and the Janata Samajwadi Party have agreed to share the ministry, giving the Madhav Nepal faction maximum opportunity in government and constitutional appointments.
A meeting of the top leaders held on Thursday morning had prepared a preliminary blueprint for the Congress to get eight ministries, including the prime minister, the CPN (Maoist Center) seven and the JSPA seven, a Maoist leader told Nepalpage.
According to him, the remaining three ministers of state will be appointed. According to a source, there was a general discussion on who will get which ministry. However, sources said that there was an agreement not to bring out the ministry-wise allocation.
The meeting of Nepali Congress officials is being held at 2 pm at the residence of President Sher Bahadur Deuba in Budhanilkantha.
Similarly, JSP executive committee meeting has also started. Those meeting will be finalized the name of ministers from the concern parties.
