Air raids kill 12 militants in Afghanistan’s northern Balkh province

Kabul : At least 12 militants were killed as fighting planes struck Taliban militants gathering in Charbolak district of Afghanistan’s northern Balkh province on Thursday, an army statement said.

The sorties were conducted on Thursday morning, killing 12 militants including Taliban key commander Sayed Noor Khalid who also served as shadow judge for the northern Balkh province, according to the statement. Taliban militants have yet to make comments.
