Kathmandu : Verification has flown along with followers of the Twitter account @pm_nepal which is operated by the Prime Minister’s Office and the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
An error in archiving tweets from the time of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s government has led to a loss of verification along with followers.
Deputy Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office Manish Bhattarai said that the work of archiving tweets was done. “We have archived the name of the account to archive the tweets of the previous prime minister and to create an account for the new prime minister,” Bhattarai informedi. “We have changed the name to archive.”
He said the Twitter account was received some time ago. He also expressed ignorance about the verification loss.
The handle of the account operated by the office and secretariat has been changed to @pm_nepal_kpoli. The account is named after the Prime Minister’s Office Archive. The handle now has 64.7K followers.
But by the time this news was prepared on the handle of the Prime Minister’s Office @pm_nepal, it had not reached 100 followers. “We are trying to find a new prime minister. It is advised to keep the history without deleting the data of the old account ‘, Bhattarai told.
Surya Thapa, who is the press advisor to the outgoing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, said that the account was handed over as soon as he left the post. “We haven’t tweeted since the prime minister left,” Thapa said. We have handed it over on the same day. It’s the same with the previous system. ‘
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has not yet formed a secretariat. So it is not decided who will use the @pm_nepal account and how. So far, Prime Minister Deuba has been releasing information from his @deubasherbdr account.
