UML (Nepal Group)’s stance: Oli’s ‘Unity call malicious’

Kathmandu June 8 : The CPN(UML) Madhav Kumar Nepal faction has termed the announcement of UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli that the party will return to pre-May 17,2018 (2075 Jesth 3) for party unity as misleading. A meeting of the Khanal-Nepal group held on Monday called for a united UML with a six-point proposal, which already formatted to Oli .

“Examining the language and points used in his statement, there is a tendency to confuse and divide others on the basis of deception, confusion and confusion,” the Nepal factions leader said in a statement. It is a matter of sorrow and concern that a person holding a responsible position like the party chairman and the prime minister of the country has adopted an inappropriate path and style.

The meeting of the Standing Committee of the Khanal-Nepal Group has also drawn Oli’s attention to the fact that positive results will come only if the path of dialogue and consensus is followed sincerely. In a written statement, the Nepal faction mentioned that although he had been in favor of party unity from the very beginning, problems had arisen in the party after violating the constitution.

“We sent a concrete proposal to KP Sharma Oli twice in writing on April 20 and May 9 to maintain the unity and effectiveness of the UML,” the statement said. “His call for unity without addressing any of our issues and without any talks .” It seems to be motivated not only by the side but also by the purpose of creating confusion. ‘

The Nepal group concludes that Oli’s proposal is aimed at creating diversity rather than uniting the party. He said that the party should be maintained as a whole before May 16,2018( 2Jesth, 2075 BS). The use of confusing language has been used before the (3rd Jesth) of May 17, 208 and Oli mentioned that the structure of the Central Committee and the Standing Committee will be more dynamic on the basis of the people who are in favor of unity among the members of the Central Committee, Nepal group has analyzed the factional interests in his call.

“Instead of taking responsibility for the unconstitutional dissolution of the House of Representatives and correcting such a wrong decision, the precondition is to withdraw our signature in the writ petition filed in the Supreme Court for the restoration of the House of Representatives,” the statement said. Is the result of necessity. If the decision to dissolve the House of Representatives is reversed by the Prime Minister, the dispute will be resolved automatically.
