Kathmandu : The Ministry of Health and Population has stated that the decision of the Government of Nepal to purchase 4 million doses of anti-coronavirus vaccine from China is not true.
A cabinet meeting held two days ago announced the decision to buy the vaccine on a GtoG basis with China’s Sinopharma Pharmaceuticals. It was also said that there is a condition that the price of the vaccine purchased with China through GtoG should not be made public.
Buying vaccines with China made many optimistic. But today, the Ministry of Health and Population said in a statement that it had talked to all governments about buying or asking for assistance, but had not decided to buy the vaccine.
This has made it even more uncertain whether to vaccinate the Nepali People against corona virus. India is not in a position to provide vaccines immediately. The rumor has it that it will buy from Russia. What is even more mysterious is that the government has had to refute the allegation that it is buying vaccines from China.
