A joint meeting of the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur on Sunday lifted the ban on areas related to industry, business and daily livelihood.

According to Kali Prasad Parajuli, Chief District officer of Kathmandu, fancy, shopping malls and other ready-made shops will be allowed to operate on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday in one phase and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in another phase.

Similarly, all types of private vehicles will be allowed to operate by odd and even number. Although Parajuli said that the taxis will be allowed to operate smoothly by following the public health standards, the order has been kept under duress.

All types of government offices except educational institutions will be opened with minimum manpower. Parajuli said the ban was relaxed considering the risk of the corona virus epidemic and the livelihood of the general public.
