Kathmandu : CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli said that he was ready to return to the structure before 2075 BS. A meeting of the General Convention Organizing Committee held in Baluwatar on Wednesday has returned the UML till Phagun 28, 2077 BS. However, the Madhav Nepal faction has been making it a condition to return on 2 Jesth 2075.
A meeting of the UML’s 10th general convention organizing committee chaired by Oli in Baluwatar has decided to include 20 former CPN-MC members in the central committee. Similarly, the organizing committee has decided to make four former Maoist leaders including Rambahadur Thapa members of the standing committee. This is the structure of the UML formed by the meeting of the Oli group held on Phagun 28,2077 BS. The Nepali group has been demanding the repeal of the decisions of 28 Phagun 2077.
The Central Committee of the CPN (UML) had 241 members. A meeting of the General Convention Organizing Committee held in Baluwatar on Wednesday appointed 20 former CPN (Maoist center) leaders i in the central committee and made the UML central committee 261 members.

Objection of Madhav group
Leaders of the Madhav Nepal group, however, objected to the illegal organizing committee saying that it did not have the right to add standing committee members and central members. Leader of Madhav Nepal Group Ghanshyam Bhusal says that the decision made by the General Convention Organizing Committee is illegal.
“It is not up to the convention organizing committee to decide who will be on the standing committee and who will be on the central committee,” said Bhusal.
Bhusal further says, “The decision on whether or not to include former Maoist leaders in the committee should be taken by the Central Committee before 2 Jeshth. The illegal organizing committee cannot make such a decision.”
Leader Bhusal said that the party has not been able to be sincere towards unity even after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli became exhausted.
UML leader Ashtalakshmi Shakya responded that KP Oli was walking in the opposite direction. “Wednesday’s decision shows that KP Oli is against unity,” she said. ‘
Similarly, Rajendra Kumar Rai, a young leader of Madhav’s faction, also sang a song of party unity in the meeting held in Baluwatar on Wednesday. Rai said, “Looking at today’s decision and activities, it seems that we are not ready to return in 2 Jeshth, so we will not participate in Friday’s meeting.”
