Oli’s vacate petition: Supreme Court orders to pull both sides to revoke the interim order or not.

Kathmandu, 8 August. The Supreme Court has ordered four lawmakers from Karnali who violated the CPN-UML’s whip to appear before it with a reply. Earlier, the Supreme Court had reinstated four lawmakers saying that the action taken by the UML Tenth General Convention Organizing Committee was illegal.

The Supreme Court today ordered to call both the parties for discussion after hearing the review (vacate) against the Supreme Court’s order to reinstate the deposed parliamentarians. A joint bench of Justices Ananda Mohan Bhattarai and Hari Phunyal issued the order. UML chairperson KP Sharma Oli and the Karnali state assembly secretariat had filed separate vacate petitions at the apex court. The Supreme Court has ordered to call the opposition to discuss whether to revoke the interim order or not.
