Kathmandu : UML vice chairman and Madhav Nepal’s faction leader Ashtalakshmi Shakya said that the decision taken at a meeting held in Baluwatar on Wednesday was further confirmed that KP Sharma Oli was not in favor of party unity. Though Chairman Oli and his party leaders campaigned that Oli was ready to return on Jesth 2, Shakya said that Oli was not in favor of unity as a meeting was held in Baluwatar on Wednesday and the leaders were given more responsibilities.
“Wednesday’s decision clearly shows that chairman KP Oli is against unity,” Shakya told Nepalpage.
Shakya said that the decision to nominate the leaders was a violation of law and order, knowing that the organizing committee would not have to meet again and make another decision if the apex court did not recognize it. “It simply came to our notice then. This has left him with pride and anti-unity sentiments, ‘she said, adding that they had said that they would revive the standing committee and central committee of the then UML on Jesth 2.
‘After the resurrection of these committees, Chairman KP and the leaders of Nepal sat down to discuss and prepare proposals, but instead of doing so, they decided to move forward by making a one-sided decision. Therefore, he did not seem ready to return on Jesth 2, but instead moved towards further violation of the law and order, ‘said Shakya.
