Kathmandu, June 17 :
At a time when blood shortage has surfaced across the country during the coronavirus pandemic, Nepali Congress (BP) central committee organized a blood donation at Maharajgunj, Kathmandu on Wednesday.
As many as 34 people donated blood in the event organized with the slogan ‘blood donation is life donation’. Secretary of the party central office, Sushil Raj Wagle said the blood donation was organized to prevent deaths due to shortage of blood in the troubled times of the pandemic.
It may be noted that the Nepal Red Cross Society has been calling for the general public for blood donation when there was blood shortage across the country, including Kathmandu Valley of late. —
